Many experienced people in our sector who have reached positions of responsibility as (for example) section heads, find themselves out of their comfort zones when taking leadership of a project. Rather than being the senior scientific/technical expert of the group, they lead others whose work they do not have experience in, AND have to lead them without direct line authority.
This live, trainer-led session* will introduce a variety of practical ways to thrive in this situation and handle typical challenges. Case study exercises will be done, and also participants will be encouraged to bring their own questions and feedback to share with others.
